Tangosol CoherenceTM 3.2.2 (Service Pack) Release Notes

The following is a list of bug fixes and improvements in Tangosol Coherence 3.2.2:

  • Fixed a bug in the NACK protocol that could cause high CPU usage in large clusters after packet ID roll over at 16,777,216 (COH-949).
  • Fixed an inconsistency issue in the distribution algorithm caused by abnormally high message delivery latency between a small subset of nodes in a large cluster. This issue would manifest itself as a repetitive flow of messages that read: "Ownership conflict for partition NNN with member M" (COH-728).
  • Fixed a regression in the NearCache clear() and release() methods causing deadlock under a heavy concurrent use (COH-930).
  • Fixed a bug causing events not to be delivered to lite listeners for partitioned caches configured to use off-heap backing maps (COH-919).
  • Improved the integration between the Coherence*Extend client and J2SE security model to enable client-side authentication and cluster-side enforcement of fine-grained access control (COH-913).
  • Fixed a deadlock in the Coherence*Extend client caused by repetitive concurrent restarts (COH-933).
  • Fixed a number of POF encoding bugs that impacted the Microsoft .NET integration tier (COH-899, COH-902, COH-903, COH-904, COH-920, COH-927, COH-928, COH-929).
  • Fixed a regression in the event handling utility causing redundant event delivery (COH-943).
  • Fixed incompatibilities between the PortalCacheProvider and the default P13N CacheProvider shipped with WebLogic Portal 8.1.6 (COH-938, COH-939).
  • Fixed a regression in the example LoadBalancer that would prevent requests from being routed (COH-947).
  • Fixed a regression in the operational configuration parser that prevented disabling of the shutdown hook (COH-934).
  • Updated the minimal J2SE security policy file necessary to run Coherence under the standard SecurityManager (COH-951).
  • Fixed usability issues with the OOTB Coherence*Web SessionDistributionController implementations (COH-796, COH-941, COH-942).
  • All bug fixes and improvements from Tangosol Coherence 3.2.1
